Every number, legend, and exhibit label is a real text object, so Ctrl+F finds it and e-discovery review platforms index it. Bitmap stamps are not acceptable for production work and are not offered.
What a production stamp needs
Position per page, not per document
Each page is measured on its own. The number lands against the CropBox, so tightly cropped scans stay inside the page, and the /Rotate value is applied so it sits in the visual lower right — not the coordinate one. Mixed Letter, Legal, A4, and drawing sizes work page by page.
Three layers, independently
Bates numbers, confidentiality legends, and exhibit labels are separate layers with their own position, font, size, colour, and page ranges. An opaque backing box keeps the number off body text, and a print-safety warning flags stamps within 0.25in of the trim edge.
Zero embedded bytes
The fonts are PDF standard-14, so the output carries no embedded font bytes at all. Combine with an optional metadata scrub and form-field flattening at the output step, then verify the scrub took.
